Saying that on returning from Brussels, where he met acquaintances of the recipient, he found his lettter, expressing regret that he missed the recipient's friends--the enthusiasm of a publisher and two composers "n'est pas un trio banal, et il y avait la l'occasion d'une petite 'intente cordiale' peut-être unique?"

Claude Debussy (b. 22 August 1862–d. 25 March 1918) was one of the most influential composers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Born in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, France he attended the Conservatoire de Paris originally to study piano before switing to composition.
